Representing four generations of family tradition, every Arturo Fuente cigar carries the personal family touch that makes it one of the world’s finest. Only the highest quality vintage tobaccos and hand workmanship go into Arturo Fuente cigars, resulting in a blend of art and craftsmanship. Each leaf is selected from a private reserve set aside exclusively for the making of these cigars. These fine tobaccos are internationally recognized for their superiority. Taking absolutely no short cuts, every step of the cigar making process is done completely by hand, to ensure a finished cigar without parallel. The cigars are then aged in Spanish cedar vaults to the peak of perfection to create a marriage of the blends producing an excellent “individualistic” heavyweight cigar to be counted among the world’s finest.
The Ashton cigar is the realization of Robert Levin's dream, a second generation tobacconist from Philadelphia whose idea for Ashton came from years of experience in the industry, not only as an importer and retailer of cigars, but also as a true connoisseur of the world's finest cigar blends. Levin created Ashton cigars in 1985 and today, with the manufacturing expertise of the world renowned Fuente Family, Ashton cigars have become one of the most sought after premium cigars in the world. The finest and richest Dominican grown leaf are used for the filler and binder providing Ashton with its unique complexity; only the oiliest, silkiest Connecticut Shade grown and finest Ecuador wrappers are used rewarding Ashton with its distinctive character. The result is a perfect balance of complexity and character.

Arturo O. Fuente, Jr., and his daughter, Kristin, officially started LA ESTAMPA Cigar Company in 2008 in Ybor City, Florida. LA ESTAMPA Cigar Company is a wholesale-based company and is the sole distributor of the Flor de Ybor City cigar brand which is exclusively manufactured by Tabacalera A. Fuente y Compañia in the Dominican Republic. The Flor de Ybor City brand was first introduced back in the 1970’s by the Arturo Fuente Cigar Factory located and manufactured in Ybor City as well -- the once “Cigar Capital of the World.” This brand originally consisted of four sizes and was sold in cigar boxes. Today, these cigars come in a variety of sizes and wrappers while packaged in cigar bundles and still incorporates the original cigar box’s beautiful label design.
The City of Tampa with its rich historical cigar communities of Ybor City and West Tampa played an important role in the cigar industry’s past. LA ESTAMPA Cigar Company recognizes and appreciates that passion and history. Its mission is to promote and preserve the rich tradition and cigar heritage while keeping the history of this landmark cigar town alive for its customers and the surrounding community.
In a collaboration between Stanford J. Newman and Carlos Fuente, Sr., the two friends came up with a unique idea: to develop a rich, velvety-smooth cigar and present it at an outstanding value. Carlos selected the sizes and the two men came up with a blend they both enjoyed.
La Unica is handmade using Cuban-seed Dominican long-filler tobacco and a delicate Connecticut Shade or rich Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper. Packaged in stylish custom cedar cabinets, the cigars feature the same smooth rich flavorful blend as they did in 1986.
Perla Del Mar by J.C. Newman cigar family is a line of exquisite box pressed Nicaraguan cigars featuring a silky Ecuador Connecticut wrapper. They are handmade in Nicaragua at Fabrica de Tabacos San Rafael S.A., offering a diverse blend of 100% Nicaraguan long filler tobaccos from four different regions. This unique combination allows the flavors of the Nicaraguan filler and binder to fully emerge making for a smooth, creamy and satisfying smoke.
Perla Del Mar was first conceived in the late 19th century to honor Cuba’s highly acclaimed cigar heritage. With its rich, fertile soil creating the most flavorful cigar tobacco in the world, Cuba was regarded then as the true “Pearl of the Sea” thus the Perla del Mar cigars were born in tribute to that tradition.
In keeping with the cigar band's harbor design, the names of Perla del Mar's four sizes were inspired by the grading system of oysters. Oysters also come in four sizes — Petit, Moyen, Grand, Trés Grand — which led the Newmans to name their cigars Perla P, Perla M, Perla G, and Perla TG
The Prometheus brand was created in 1992 and named after the Greek God of Fire, Prometheus. Prometheus World Headquarter is located in Commerce, California. In the early years, the Prometheus products consisted of mostly cigar and cigarette lighters. Since then, Prometheus has expanded its product collection and now, offers discerning cigar lovers around the globe a complete collection of fine cigar accessories such as ashtrays (made in Italy), cigar cases (Spain), cigarette cases (Germany), cigar cutters (Japan), humidors (France and Italy), lighters (Korea and Austria) and pipes (Italy).
Since launching Prometheus, Keith Park always dreamed of creating his own cigar line to complement his accessories. “I saw Prometheus lighters, ashtrays and humidors displayed in stores, but no cigars. I wanted to complete the picture.” The opportunity presented itself in the spring of 2003 as Keith and Carlito Fuente sat down to dinner in the Dominican Republic.
During the filming of the Fuente documentary, The Fuente Family: An American Dream, in Dominican Republic in the spring of 2002, Keith, who was the producer of the Fuente documentary, was repeatedly called “God of Fire”, an obvious reference to Keith’s brand Prometheus and the Greek myth behind it. Carlito, remembering this reference to Keith, suggested he use “God of Fire” as a cigar brand name.
The San Cristobal brand was created in 2007 and is another Nicaraguan made brand of the Ashton Cigar family. The other line is the La Aroma de Cuba. Both lines are handmade and blended by the (Don Pepin) Garcia family.
San Cristobal Revelation marks the fourth line in the portfolio. These cigars are made with an Ecuadoran Sumatra wrapper over Nicaraguan binder and filler. It's actually the same wrapper leaf used in Ashton's Virgin Sun Grown blend, which is rolled in the Dominican Republic by Tabacalera A. Fuente y Cia. But while the Virgin Sun Grown is covered with a top-priming leaf, the wrapper used for Revelation is viso, or mid-plant priming. As such, the wrapper is lighter—what the company describes as more "chocolate brown" in color. Both binder and filler leaf for the blend consists of Nicaraguan tobaccos.
Tampa Sweethearts Cigar Company is now in the 3rd generation of Fuente family members who play a vital role to this cigar company.
